Wallners – Movie Stars

Following their dreamlike debut album, “End Of Circles,” and their first European tour, the Vienna- based sibling quartet is back. The dream-pop band, whose international presence continues to grow, ventures into cosmic territory with “Movie Stars” – somewhere between Mazzy Star, Daft Punk, and the infinite expanse of the universe. “Life goes by and movie stars, they disappear and fly to Mars …”

Anna’s deep, gentle voice meets warm guitars before the song gradually opens up, becoming increasingly expansive and weightless. “The stars have always inspired us. There’s something incredibly peaceful about looking up at

them, yet they also fill you with a sense of wonder. We’re fascinated by the vastness of the universe and by how absurd life on Earth can sometimes be. By chance, we found some old microphones from the 1960s in our basement while making the song, and somehow that discovery fit the mood of the track perfectly.”
