Triggerfinger – Through The Beam

Triggerfinger are well on their way to the release “Tarmac” their sixth studio album, due for release on September 18.
Where “Stars” revealed an obvious link with Triggerfinger’s earlier repertoire,  the band caught friend & foo off-guard with “Come Clean”, introducing a new sound, announcing a wind of change in the band’s musical DNA.

Then “Geronimo” came along, a familiar sounding tune with a thumping rhythm that kicks its way frenetically into a mad dream, surrounded by screaming guitars and outrageous vocals. Old school!
Now we’re up to “Through the Beam” the fourth song from a forthcoming album.

What’s this song about?

Ruben reflects:
“Through the savagely stimulating flood of options to consume, whether material or sensory, it might take more effort today to see what beauty is right in front of us, while at the same time there is a lot of fun and satisfaction to be had from pursuing even the silliest and futile gadget.”
