Lil Julez – Universe25

Lil Julez is one of the most exciting and charismatic voices of a new generation of indie artists, having first attracted international attention with his debut album It Was A Hoax (2023). Over the past few years, he has also made a name for himself as a live performer, supporting the likes of Geese and The Godfathers and appearing at festivals including Lido Sounds and Waves Vienna.

With “Universe25”, Lil Julez takes a new musical direction following his second album, Pleasurecruise. The song launches straight into its stride, driven by synths, soaring melodies and a chorus that stays with you long after the music stops. The Vienna-based musician and producer’s distinctive voice remains at its heart, even as his sound moves further away from its guitar-driven roots. The music feels immediate and effortless, but beneath its infectious surface lie self-doubt, a loss of identity and the fear of losing control.
