Lea Santee – The View

With „The View“ Lea Santee makes a clear statement against societal expectations, social pressure, and stereotyping. Catchy pop melodies blend with organic, analog-recorded instruments and alternative/indie pop sounds.

„The idea for the song came about because I’ve repeatedly observed on social media how quickly people are judged and condemned. What I want to say is: Just let people be who they want to be. Our feelings and supposed flaws make us who we are, and that’s exactly what makes us unique.” The line “all this shit on the internet drives me insane” directly expresses this overwhelming feeling. With the line “Shut up, let people be who they wanna be,” the chorus transforms the song into a powerful anthem for individuality, self-acceptance, and greater empathy. Musically, “The View” combines vulnerable introspection with an energetic, sing-along hook—for everyone who wants to break free from the opinions of others and forge their own path on their own terms.“

Lea Santee is the collaborative music project of songwriter Lea Stöger and producer Manuel Hosp. After a lengthy hiatus from releasing new material, the duo is now returning with new music.

The project has released two EPs to date, VENICE I and VENICE II. Highlights of their career so far include a performance at Sziget Festival, a concert with Yelle at Kantine am Berghain, and the song “Rollin’” being featured in the series The Shannara Chronicles, among other projects.
