Cari Cari – Farfalla/Schmetterling

“Farfalla/Schmetterling” is an exploration of duality, both in sound and in the personal dynamics of Cari Cari’s members. The double single features two contrasting yet complementary tracks that reflect the band’s multifaceted nature. “Farfalla,” which means butterfly in Italian, embodies the softer, more introspective side of Cari Cari’s music. This track highlights Stephanie Widmer’s delicate vocals and nuanced instrumentation, evoking a sense of fragility and quiet beauty.  It’s a reflection of her introspective personality and the serene moments that define the band’s sound.

“Schmetterling,” the German equivalent of butterfly, is its powerful counterpart.  This track is infused with the raw energy and intensity that characterize Cari Cari’s live shows. Alexander Köck’s extroverted spirit shines through, with driving guitar riffs that capture the untamed essence of their performances. Together, these two tracks represent the yin and yang of Cari Cari—showcasing the interplay between the quiet and the bold, the delicate and the rambunctious, the introverted and the extroverted.
