Angela Aux – Traveler Of The Mind

One night, Angela Aux dreams that he meets a time traveler. Together they step through a portal into the songwriter’s childhood. 

They sit together behind an old barn and look out over his childhood home. They begin to sing. 

In the dream, Angela Aux says to himself: I have to memorize the melody. Shortly afterwards, he wakes up and picks up the guitar in the dark room. 

He presses the record button, plays the passage and goes back to sleep.

The result is a magical fusion of folk, electronica and krautrock. 

As if Four Tet and Jose Gonzales or Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker and Neil Young had made an appointment in their sleep. 

The birth of the “Kraut Folk” genre took place in a dream. Angela Aux was the perfect medium.
