Rebounder & Sofie Royer – Tennis Bracelet

Rebounder — the musical project helmed by NYC natives and brothers Dylan and Noah Chenfeld — share “Tennis Bracelet,” a new collaborative single featuring Austrian art-pop artist Sofie Royer.

The track’s luxuriant groove, a rippling take on French Touch with a splash of Steely Dan fastiduously supple funk, is fit for Wimbledon: a sonic accompaniment to posh all-white dress codes, champagne with strawberries, hard-launching celeb couples, and tennis-as-sex metaphors. Its volleys of cryptic come-ons and missed connections are knowingly goofy, like a high society infiltrator giddily pushing the limits of politeness until they blow their cover.

“Tennis Bracelet” is the first preview of an upcoming new release from Rebounder. It comes off the back of 2024’s “Sunset Vision,” the titular track of an EP that served as “a hearty introduction” (Wonderland) that “tweaks at the fundamentals of 2000s indie-pop with a nouveau-techy touch” (Paste). “Sunset Vision” gained traction on both streaming (2.5M+ Spotify streams) and radio, and was followed-up with 2025’s “Count Me Into Love,” which garnered support from KCRW. Meanwhile, Rebounder’s breakthrough single “Japanese Posters” just surpassed 30M streams on Spotify.

Live, Rebounder have supported the likes of Phoenix, MUNA, The Neighbourhood, Twin Shadow, and How Long Gone, and just wrapped a national tour with Sofie Royer — upcoming live dates are listed below. The band have also been embraced by New York’s fashion scene, modeling for J. Crew, Maison Kisuné, Corridor, and Gallery Department, and scoring the last two NYFW runway shows for the French brand Meruert Tolegen.
