Postcards – Dust Bunnies
“Dust Bunnies,” the lead single of Beirut shoegaze/grunge trio Postcards’ upcoming album “Ripe,” brings a menacing unsettling atmosphere that showcases the band at their most raw and brutal.
It’s a laundry list of the frustrations that come out of living in Lebanon, tapping into a primordial rage passed down through generations and culminating in Sabra belting out “Our ancestors may have known / There’s nowhere left to go.”
Julia Sabra on the song: “It was born out of frustration, I just started typing everything that triggers me about life in Beirut, from the microscopic and personal to the general social situation.”
