Pet Owner – Tunnel Eye
There’s a smile that appears — too bright, too perfect — and the ordinary becomes strange. Grass grows wild. You’ve been here before. You’ve been here before. A road without end. The sun kisses your face. The window becomes your X-ray. Time folds and every turn leads deeper into it.
With “Tunnel Eye”, Swiss DIY artist Pet Owner announces her sophomore album Second Nature (out early 2026) — opening a surreal indie pop landscape.
The song traces its origins to a snow-covered mountain cabin at the heart of Switzerland, where Pet Owner spent last winter in isolation. Surrounded by silence, a hypnotic synth arpeggio emerged. Blended with gentle guitars, subtly shimmering synths and softly blurred textures. An intimate, almost whispered voice guides the listener through a playful yet expansive arrangement.
Between her debut Natural Behaviour (2022) and the forthcoming album, Pet Owner deliberately stepped outside the familiar, leaving her comfort zone in search of new inspiration. “Tunnel Eye” captures this restless forward motion — dreamy and disorienting — where clarity slips and the unexpected suddenly appears.
