Oskar Haal – Drop Out

So, here’s DROP OUT, the “If not now, then when? – Monster – School’s out – Screw it” single, as the next release from the album LOST CAUSE, due out in September. Naturally composed and written by the multi-talented Oskar Haag, who’s still only 20, and wonderfully produced and mixed – completely disregarding any notion of melodiousness – by Lukas Klement and the young dude himself. No ifs. And no buts.

Having only just returned from a UK residency and awesome gigs at the major showcase festivals across the island (next stops: North and South America – no shit), Haag now comes round the corner with a three-chord guitar banger and smacks this burner right in our faces, as one might aptly put it in this case. The Vienna-based artist with Carinthian roots (the rage has to come from somewhere, after all) has never been harder, more compelling or more direct.
