“‘I close my eyes, tomorrow’ is unmistakably Laikka. Through playing live, we developed a sound that’s deeply expressive—impulsive, cathartic, and emotionally raw. It’s a sound that creates a space to get lost in, a place to release the darkness within. The album combines big pop moments with shattered, destructive electronic landscapes, telling our story through the time in which it was written, in a raw and intimate way. ‘I close my eyes, tomorrow’ begins motionless under a paralyzing summer heat, trapped in a suffocating room, and ends in the same place. Along the way, it journeys through stress, fear, anger, anxiety, dependency, loneliness, and surrender—but also ecstasy, release, and acceptance.” (Laikka).
