Jo The Man The Music – Soft Skin (Only)

The Deluxe EP comes with six bonus tracks: Jo’s latest single “To Be Sexy”; an acoustic rework of her debut single “Skinny Dipping (Just Your Toes)”; “In My Head,“ previously available only on physical formats; and three live versions — “Skinny Dipping,“ “Shoulders,” and “Rocket Science”, the latter already out on YouTube. Jo The Man The Music has played over 30 shows this year — solo on guitar, as a trio, and with a full five-piece band, everything from cozy living-room sets to full-throttle festival stages. “You become a lot more aware of how the songs land with people when you play them so often, in so many different versions, live. In some ways I’ve developed a whole new relationship with my own songs,” says Jo. Those experiences don’t just cast existing songs in a new light — they’re also fueling new material, since Jo The Man The Music’s life happens in between and right in the middle of it all anyway.
