Jo The Man The Music – Shoulders

A red-orange vintage electric guitar strikes up and everyone is aware: Jo The Man The Music’s in the room. “A shoulder to kiss and touch…” A rustle, whisper, a delicate vocal 25-year-old Styrian raised and Berlin-based Johanna, called Jo, reveals yet another facet of her distinctive voice on her upcoming single, „Shoulders“.

After its live premiere at the sold-out Loft club in Vienna and a special version for Austria’s local radio backbone FM4‘s Soundpark birthday, Jo The Man The Music is releasing the track like a warm breath into the cold autumn air. “Shoulders” is the final predecessor of Jo’s debut EP “Soft Skin” which comes out on January 16th, 2026.

“Shoulders” deals with the disappointment of being let down at a crucial moment and the regret of leaning onto other people for too long. But Jo would not be Jo if there wasn’t some learning to pull out of every obstacle she encounters: Thus, „Shoulders“ becomes a celebration of growing autonomous and being one‘s own shoulder to lean on.
