With Hearts of Steel, Vienna-based artist Ivery delivers an evocative soundtrack of our time. It portrays a world steeped in indie sound that never stands still, where dreams and identity become commodities—and where, in the constant pursuit of more, we lose ourselves.

Between drive and melancholy, Hearts of Steel explores self-optimization, performance pressure, and the longing for true stillness. We’re always on, never done becomes the mantra of a generation caught between productivitynand a loss of identity.

Hearts of Steel mirrors our time—a glimpse into a capital-driven world in which we optimize ourselves until we become mechanical versions of ourselves, lost in mountains of work and expectations.  As a single from the debut album Crack of Light, set for release in May, Heartsnof Steel exemplifies Ivery’s artistic approach, which is defined by contrast and deliberate breaks.
