Hearts Hearts – Champagne Supernova

Hearts Hearts are an indie pop band from Vienna, founded in 2012 by David Österle, Daniel Hämmerle, Johannes Mandorfer and Peter Paul Aufreiter. Early sessions in a monastery in Upper Austria shaped their dark, electronically tinged sound. With their debut album Young (2015), they signed to Tomlab and soon appeared on international stages.

Their second album Goods / Gods expanded their sonic palette, introduced a clearer political stance, and featured singles like Sugar / Money and Ikarus (I feel a change), which resonated widely. Three years later came Love Club Members – 11 songs distilled from 80 sketches, more expansive and accessible, earning them the FM4 Amadeus Austrian Music Award 2021.

In 2024, Hearts Hearts released their fourth album This Is What The World Needs: 11 focused tracks balancing analog warmth with digital pressure, lyrically multidimensional and carrying a clear message – stagnation is not an option. Between ecstasy, anger and hope, they bring this sound to the stage.

Do you also know that couple you really love – but when it gets late, things always escalate? Better to leave before you get caught in the crossfire. That’s the story behind the new single Champagne Supernova.
