Gaisma – Yin Yang
Alisa is a Latvia-born artist now living in Stuttgart, Germany. Her love for the stage began with her very first visit to the theatre, where she was instantly captivated and set on becoming a ballet dancer. After six years performing professionally, she made the difficult choice to step away from classical ballet and pursue broader artistic paths.
She studied at the Stuttgart Art Academy, but soon realised that her creativity thrived outside institutions, inspired by everyday life. That journey has taken her around the world, exploring ways to heal body, mind, and soul while diving into analog music production.
Her main project, Gaisma, fuses rap, hip-hop, and neo-soul, weaving raw energy with emotional depth. She has collaborated with artists such as Chicks On Speed and produced her most recent album with German hip-hop producer Dexter. She also plays synth with the wave-pop band Levin Goes Lightly, further expanding her sonic world.
Yin Yang
“Yin Yang” is a song about radical self acceptance — where no one can dim my light. In this track I stand up for myself and face the uncomfortable reality of the moment head on — with softness. I don’t need to dress up like a thug to throw good rhymes — 21st century, no stereotypes. I embrace my femininity and let it be power, not weakness. In a society obsessed with speed, performance and results — this song is a reminder that softness is strength, subtlety is sharp — and Yin has teeth.
