FLOSS – Avent-Garde

The Berlin Artist Redefines Electroclash with Debut Album b0dy c0un1, Out May 22, 2026 (via recordJet)

Following the momentum of her explosive EP ANGRY B!TCH RAVE and a tour supporting Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Berlin-based artist FLOSS announces her debut album b0dy c0un1, set for release on May 22, 2026 via recordJet.

Positioning herself at the forefront of a new wave of club music, FLOSS has carved out her own lane with what she calls “angry feminist techno pop”—a confrontational, high-energy fusion of electroclash, rave, and riot grrrl attitude. With b0dy c0un1, she expands that vision into a full-length statement: a bold, provocative journey through love, sex, death, and fame.

Opening track “Avant-Garde” sets the tone with theatrical flair and biting satire. Layered with sleek electronic production and a French touch á la je ne sais quoi, the track dissects the myth of the artist as martyr—obsessing over legacy, sacrifice, and posthumous fame. With lines like “Do you wanna sell my sex tape? We can make it on my death bed,” FLOSS balances dark humor with existential weight while calling all “Super Suicidal Superstars”. The track is accompanied by a striking high-fashion arthouse video directed by Maggi Geisler.

“I’m obsessed with artists who had to go too soon and became famous post mortem,” FLOSS explains. “It’s bittersweet, but it also gives me hope that art and love can transcend time and influence people beyond lifetimes.”
