FLOSS – Wasteland
Covered in latex and FLOSS is kicking off 2026 with a bang. Fresh off the heels of her EP “ANGRY B!TCH RAVE” EP and supporting Sophie Ellis-Bextor on tour, the Berlin feminist techno pop artist shows no signs of slowing down. Instead, she’s gearing up for her next move with the fearless release of her new single, “Wasteland”. set to pave the way for her debut album.
In ‘Wasteland’, FLOSS tackles feeling like a lonely, broken outcast over a hard-hitting 170bpm. She sings about a mutated version of herself who invites all the misfits to be “masterpiece anomalies”, together.
“This song is all of us licking each other’s wounds in a sweaty Berlin club. When you feel like you’ve been poisoned by society or a nasty relationship, you’re super scared to open up. But there’s beauty and power in that shared vulnerability”
With knock-out lyrics over an electro-pop-meets-drama production by Tim & Matteo, she challenges societal norms with the surprisingly introspective chorus: “My body is contagious / There’s poisohair, with dark circles under her signature pink eyes and hair, she makes you question your own perception of beauty. The torturing visuals (directed my Maggi Geisler) show a new kind of FLOSS who keeps on pushing the envelope with every release.
