FIO – Agent Liar

Vienna-based singer-songwriter FIO releases “Agent Liar” on May 8, 2026 – the focus track from her upcoming album “Face(t)s” (Northchain Records). Following her EP “Face(t)s – Side A”, the artist reveals a more intense, raw and sonically edgier side of her work.

With “Agent Liar”, FIO presents one of her most compelling songs to date – an unfiltered look at the moment when trust breaks. Inspired by personal experience, the track tells the story of infidelity in a long-term relationship, the feeling of having lived in an illusion for months, and the shock when everything you believed to be true suddenly collapses.

The song draws on the metaphor of espionage and double lives: agents who disguise themselves, deceive, and slip into different roles. This imagery contrasts with the emotional weight of the subject – a fractured mix of pain, anger, uncertainty, and a burning desire for retribution.
