Filiah – Atlas

Working tirelessly, by 2022 Filiah self-released (of course!) her intense debut album “For Someone“. 

Although praised by critics and liked by insiders, it failed to make the big splash she was hoping for – lacking actual industry support and funds. However, the folky songs resonated well with an audience.
Exhausted by the experience and increasingly insecure whether her musical career is worth pursuing, Filiah soon stopped writing music altogether. Nevertheless, her songs continued to spread in austrian singer-songwriter-circles, who did see the magic and quality of Filiahs skillset. 

Inevitably this led to an invitation to join a bunch of writers for a songwriting retreat on the nearby croatian coast. Welovemelodies is an open art collective that hosts such camps a few times a year and not only welcomed Filiah warmly, but helped her overcoming her fear of failing and the intense writers block it resulted in.

Quickly, a number of songs came together, one being Filiahs “rebirth” in particular: “Atlas” conquers the ear and heart by writing down that very story of her writers block and how she finally overcame the struggle that came along with it. 

Now 25, Filiah just got signed with renowned Viennese independent label powerhouse Ink Music (My Ugly Clementine, Endless Wellness, Leyya, Mira Lu Kovacs) and is ready to grow out of the darkness of obscurity and shine a light herself.
