Black Sea Dahu – Superpower
Black Sea Dahu’s “Superpower,” the second single from their upcoming album Everything (out February 2026), calls on us to face our fears and tear down walls that no longer protect us, but trap us and suffocate our growth.
This is a song rooted in radical empathy for yourself. Janine talks about fear that doesn’t scream, but settles in quietly. The invisible kind that sits in your stomach for years and turns you to stone. Until one day, that fear makes it hard to even breathe, to leave the house, talk to people, follow a daily routine, let alone chase a dream. We shut down or freeze, trying to protect ourselves without realizing we’re building huge walls that keep us from connecting with both the world around us and the world within.
“I think there’s a strange comfort in realizing that we’re all just trying. That maybe nobody really knows how to do this life thing. Sometimes I wonder if we’re all just versions of our younger selves still trying to be safe.” Janine
