binary+boy – Babybird

Viennese newcomers binary_boy release debut single

The band have already heated up several Viennese clubs with their guitar-heavy mix of industrial, electro and alternative rock.
Now the four are releasing their debut single.

“Babybird” describes a journey – out of the nest, towards yourself. Like a mantra, the lyrics encourage you to free yourself from mental corsets, become independent and fly your own way: “Would you mind to spread your wings“. 

The driving beats, melancholic riffs and broad synthesizer sounds invite you to nod and shake before things really head towards heaven in the last third.

Christoph Humer (vocals and guitar), Lukas Brunner (drums), David Lenz (bass) and Lorenz Matz (keys) have been performing as binary_boy since 2023.
Musically, they feel at home somewhere between Radiohead and Kings of Leon.
They mix modern jazz elements and rich basslines into their sometimes dreamy, sometimes aggressive songs.
With their music, binary_boy want to set a monument against patriarchal thought patterns and make people want to listen to the ambiguous.
